A Time to be Born:
Mr. Lonnie Gamble, son of Alphonso and Miller Gamble was born April 5th, 1928 in Tuskegee, Alabama.

A Time to be planted:
He spent his childhood in Tuskegee, then as young man he moved to Virginia where he worked for the railroad. He moved to Florida in 1948. He worked for the American Machinery Company for (12) years; he worked for Montgomery Ward’s for a few years; he managed a package store in Apopka for (4) years. The U. S. Navy employed him for several years, he worked for the Orange County School Board until his retired in 1989.

A Time of Peace:
He was a faithful member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church of Orlando, Florida for nearly 60 years, he was ordained as a Deacon September 18, 1993.

A Time to Embrace:
He married Lillie Mae Parker in May 25th, 1952. They had four children.

A Time of Departure
On February 11th, 2010, at the age of 81 he went to be with the LORD.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alphonso and Miller Gamble; brothers, Alphonso and Jonas, sisters, Janie Lou, Emma, and Pearl.

A Time to Mourn:
He leaves to mourn his passing: Wife, Lillie; daughter, Tommie Garcia (Greg), Palm Bay, FL; sons, Randy (Sheryl), Winter Garden, FL; Lonnie George (Sonja), Orlando, Florida and Terry (Katherine) Winter Garden, Florida; sixteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Katherine Gamble, Dorothy Gamble Rowe (Oscar), Virginia Gamble Jones Tuskegee, AL and Era Gamble Henderson (Steve) St. Louis, MO.; one sister-in-law, Deloris Gamble of Orlando, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and sorrowing friends.
