Ms. Smith was born May 30, 1927 to the late Willie and Hennie Bell Glenn.


A Time To Love
Frances was married to the late Sam Smith.

A Time To Enjoy
Spending time with family and friends is what Frances loved to do. Baking, gardening, and shopping were also favorite pastimes of hers.

A Time To Labor
Ms. Smith not only worked domestically, but spent as much time as she could working with flowers – in nurseries, and even at home – flowers were her passion.

A Time To Mourn
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Smith, her parents, Willie and Hennie Bell Glenn, her son, Louis “L.F.” Jackson, her daughter-in-law, Hester Jackson, and her granddaughter, Linda Jackson.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her step-son – John Lee (Linda) Boone; granddaughters – Sandra (Vincent, Sr.) McMillan, Sandy (Joe) Crowe, and Shywanna (Shawn) Mack; grandson – James Dazmane Gilbert; great grandchildren – Vincent Jr. (Kevine), Kamisha, Takeiya, Brice, Shaquita, Keenan, and James Dazmane Jr.; sister – Catherine George; brothers – Willie Glenn and Ira (Lena) Glenn; sisters-in-law – Frances Stewart, Mary Lois Davis, and Loreen Davis; and a host of other relatives and friends.
