Mitchell Funeral Home exists to help you deal with the death of a loved one. We believe every life, whether lived quietly or bigger than life itself, is unique and deserves to be honored. On our web site, you will find a listing of currently scheduled and recent services. We also offer information about who we are, how to find us and how to contact us. And for those who believe in planning ahead, there's information about prearranging funeral, cremation and interment services. Call us if we can assist.

In 1956, Adrienne McKinnis Harrison, the organizer of The Orlando Chapter of Jack and Jill, Incorporated, captured the vision of the National Founder of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated, and seized the moment to revolutionize the educational thoughts, cultural and civic activities for Orlando’s African-American youth. Thus her legacy lives on.....

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, and Samuel E. Meriwether of Washington, DC.

She leaves to cherish many fond memories of a life of service:

god-grandchildren – Dannie Waldon, Markus Jennings, and Desiree Wright;

Mrs. Ruth M. Cappi and Family of New Orleans, LA;

brother-in-law – Emmett S. (Lois) Harrison of Maskpee, Massachusetts; and a host of family members and friends.
