Obituary
Reflection of Life
Rodrick Antolin Williams was born to Harry & Gladys Williams on February 14, 1982 in Orlando, FL. He began his education in the Orange County Public School System at the young age of 3 years old. He graduated from Magnolia School in 2004. Rodrick went on to attend Central Florida Contract Industry (CFCI) adult workshop in Eatonville, FL until his hospitalization in December 2009. He was a lifelong member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church/Solid Rock UMC.
There are no words to fully describe the effect his smile had on the people he met. Although he did not speak a word, he touched many hearts. To know Rodrick, was to love him. He will be sorely missed. Rodrick lived so that when his Master called him on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, he answered; rose to meet him; laid his weary head on his breast; and breathed out his life sweetly. Then the angels of heaven rejoiced for they had received their angel back.
Left to cherish his precious memories are his loving parents, Harry & Gladys Williams; two sisters: Harriett Burgess (Ronald) of Bradenton, FL and Detricia Williams of Orlando, FL; one nephew: DaKaiyah Burgess of Bradenton, FL; one uncle: Andrew Jones of Orlando, FL; two aunts: Eunice Robinson of Live Oak, FL & Jacklyn Turner (Larry) of Orlando, FL; paternal grandmother: Helen Jones of Orlando, FL; godmother: Elowes Turner of Orlando, FL. Special recognition to Mrs. Dale Walker & Mrs. Maritza Hall, Rodrick’s two devoted therapist of 27+ years; Quincy Thompson, his devoted surrogate aunt; and Mrs. Mary Williams, his surrogate grandmother; Sam & Sue Butler all of Orlando, FL; Miss. Millie & Miss. Teresa, his kind and loving caretakers from CFCI; Mrs. Debbie Phillips, his support coordinator; and a host of cousins, other relatives and many friends. Thanks for all the love and kindness you showed our “Roddy”. God bless each of you and may heaven forever shine upon you.
