Obituary
Lillie Mae George was born in Valdosta, Georgia on April 20, 1918, to Dan and Hannah Horne. She was the tenth of eleven children. In the early 40’s, she relocated to Orlando, Florida. She was a member of the Herons of Jericho, and an Eastern Star.
Lillie Mae attended Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Lake Butler, Florida, before relocating to Orlando and uniting with Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church when they were located downtown. She later joined Zion Hill MBC.
Lille Mae was pleasant Christian woman with a heart of gold, and even served as a Sunday School teacher. As a domestic engineer, she was known as a hard worker. She loved the Lord, and looked forward
to the day she’d see God face-to-face.
Lillie Mae was preceded in death by her parents, her husband – French George, and several of her sisters and brothers.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory: one sister – Daisy Jackson of Orlando; one daughter – Patricia George of Orlando; one granddaughter – Tamica (Elliot) Cunningham of Orlando; and a host of nieces, nephews, grands, great grands, and a host of other relatives and many friends.
